It's no wonder that since Vivek joined the company in 1954 after his graduation in Business Administration from the USA, he has proved to be a vital force in introducing new products and also in expanding company's operations in other countries. It is his untiring efforts and dynamic leadership that Dabur today is the fourth largest FMCG company in India with a turnover of more than Rs 1500 cr.

It was Vivek's single-mind devotion to his credo of being at the top that he was soon elevated to the post of Managing Director in 1986 and as the Chairman of the Company in 1998. And since then he has added numerous feathers to Dabur's cap. Today, its overseas exports account for 9% of sales and consumer goods for 70% of gross revenues; Pharmaceuticals products, 12%; Food products, 6% and Ayurvedic products 6%.  Vivek has not only made Dabur India's most trusted nature-based products company but has been a key member on the Board of Directors of several companies including Dabur Foods Ltd., Dabur Ayurvedic Specialties Ltd., Dabur Research Foundation, Dabur Investocorp and Aviva.

He is also the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Nicaragua in India.
